Tilda & Flower

Yesterday my hubby had his Christmas do, so that left me alone all evening, so of course off I went into my craft room, I Tunes blaring away & made this card. I had been to Grafton Crafts during the day with a friend & had bought the papers that I have used here & they are by Craft Creations Ltd. We had a lucky escape actually as when we came through Kimbolton, the roads were flooding & I could see that the River was being monitored as it was level with the road, so instead of having lunch first, we did our craft shopping & came back & had lunch in a pub near home, but just after we drove through, the road was closed & that would have made a big detour to have gotten home, so for once my timing was spot on!
Anyway back to the card, I have used the sketch over at Sketch & Stash. The corners are a Cheery Lyn corner die in the same papers.
The images are Meadow Daisy from Summer Memories collection & Berry Tilda from Lazy Summer Days, both of which are coloured with Watercolours. Not happy with result, but I will keep practising at different mediums from time to time.
The fence & bird table are both a Marianne die set. The sentiment ticket is a Magnolia die. Ribbon, flowers, butterfly, dew drops & Bakers Twine all from stash.
There you have a spring looking card with no snow anywhere lol.

2nd post of the day

Yes you do see right, this is the second post of today, I know, nothing for a week, then 2 in a day. Like London buses eh?
Papers are from stash & I have faux stitched them all. You can see a Cheery Lynn flourish die and a Magnolia ticket die too. The ticket has been coloured with Spun Sugar DI & an old sentiment used from stamp stash. Added a doily & ribbon & a little Bakers Twine too.
My image is Tilda on Scooter & is coloured with Distress Inks & mounted onto a Nestie die. Added a little butterfly charm & flowers from stash & here is a girly birthday card.
Told you I had finished my Xmas cards!!!!

My last Christmas card of 2012 (I hope)

This took me ages as you can imagine & I made it ages ago, but never got around to posting it here. It is a step card, which are always quite difficult to photograph. I used paper from stash to create the night sky & added Liquid pearls to create the snow falling. I coloured Edwins Village stamps by Magnolia with DI & also used Cool Santa from Xmas 2010 &  Lampost from 2008, both by Magnolia & coloured with DI.
I edged it with Magnolia Tildas lace Border & coloured with Walnut Stain DI.
The sentiment is also Magnolia Santa is Coming to Town, coloured with DI. The scroll I made myself using cocktail sticks & write a little story. Hopefully you can read it , but it says Twas the night before Xmas. Edwin is hurrying home & Tilda is lighting his way. Meanwhile Santa Claus is waiting........

I then used a Marianne die for the trees & coloured them with a mixture of Peeled paint & pine Needles DI & added Liquid Pearls to some of them. Edwin on Christmas Eve & Tilda with Lamp were coloured with DI again & Tilda was glittered & her fur glittered with Glamour Dust & placed among the trees.
The final step has Magnolia paper & little poinsettia & silver berries.

Last Dream Valley challenge of 2012

Today is the last Dream Valley challenge until 9th January 2013 & of course the theme is Christmas. We have loads of sponsors, too many to list here, so pop over to the blog & see for yourself, as well as look at the amazing creations of my fellow teamies.
I have been practising with my Distress Ink painting & I think this is my best so far. I am afraid I made this card whilst away in Lincolnshire, so cannot remember which inks I used.
The papers were from stash & the image is the one that came with the recent Magnolia magazine. I added a Magnolia tag & stamped Seasons Greetings onto it from an old See D bought from QVC many moons ago. The ribbon I stitched with a running stitch & gathered up & stuck to the card., onto which I added more ribbon & Candy to complete the ruffle. Flowers & berries from stash.
More practising is required, but onwards & upwards as they say, I am enjoying playing with the inks though.
I am now off to do our monthly food shopping, we did all the extra Christmas food yesterday & today the normal shop. Then apart from the meat & cheese order which is to be picked up from the farm shop on 22nd December, I am done!!!!!

Baubles!

I have written most of my cards today. just need to make several boxes for family ones & then I am done. Will then start on wrapping the presents probably tomorrow after the ironing.
I have used a Magnolia Bauble stamp here, from Xmas 2011 I think. I have coloured it with Distress Inks & I am practising with these inks, so hopefully it shows. I used Worn Lipstick & Peeled Paint. The gingham BP was from the Molly Bloom Xmas magazine collection & the other one was Crafty Individuals, both of which are edged with Peeled paint DI. The flourish is Cherry :Lynn Fanciful Flourish, which again is coloured with Peeled Paint DI. Down the left hand side is a Magnolia die Christmas Lace, again coloured with DI. The ribbon is from stash & the little bells are from Hobby House. The sentiment is a See D & the ticket is Tim Holtz ticket die.
