Tailor Tilda

Its time for another challenge over at Stamp & Create with Magnolia & this one is Spring with Buttons.

I chose to use Tailor Tilda & she is coloured with Prisma pencils. She is mounted onto a Nestie & as I did not have any Frantage when I made this card, I used ultra thick embossing powder around the edges. The papers are Papermania Happy Days, which go together with this image perfectly, as they have a sewing theme.

The corner had the same treatment too.

As did the ribbon lol. The tape measure is an old stamp & stamped in TH DI Dried Marigold. Added a few buttons tied with Bakers Twine, some orange organza ribbon & a little Sewing machine charm.

Indian Tilda at Divas By Design

This weeks challenge over at Divas is to be inspired by a movie & is sponsored by Live & Love Crafts

As it seems ages since I made a card with Tilda, I decided to use Indian Tilda, I have never used her before, so thought it was time to get her out of the packet!! I figured she would go well with The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel movie which has been in the cinemas not that long ago & is set in India.
I coloured Tilda with my Prisma pencils & mounted onto black card, which I have dabbed with orange acrylic paint. The papers (chosen for their orange colour) are from my drawer, so no idea who or what they are. All the edges are heat embossed & distressed. If you have seen the film you will know that the hotel is really shabby, so I wanted to try & create that on the card. Added a postcard stamp from Papermania & added letters which are from my stash drawer. The peg, I heat embossed using black sparkle embossing powder.. Added ribbon & jewels from stash, together with a flower that sort of resembles a marigold lol.

Things with Wings at Dream Valley

Dream Valley have a new challenge and its Things with Wings & sponsored by Digital Delights, so lets see your creations with wings & dont forget to pop over & see what my fellow teamies have made as well.
When I went to Stamparama in Stevenge, I watched some demos by Ali of Alis Inky Fingers (Formerly Dimension Fourth) & I bought her Essential Fairy set of stamps, of which these are part of. I used Pan pastels to create the soft background & added various elements of the stamps to create the scene.. I then added Liquid Pearls to the flowers to make them stand out more. The papers are Isabelle by First Edition. Added a little lace & a SU sentiment together with a few liquid pearls around the edges.
This is a different card to my usual style but I like how it turned out & its always good to try new things.

Bella with Presents

Weekly Candy time again at Stamp and Create. Grab the banner, place in side bar & link, thats all there is to it.

This week I have used Wild Rose Studio Bella with Presents & coloured it with Prismas. I love this paper, its My Minds Eye Miss Caroline Dolled Up & didnt want to cover much of it. Added ribbon strips from stash, keeping with the three colour scheme. The grass die is by Joy. Added a few pearls again to keep the colour theme going. The flowers are an assortment from stash. The light blue one is a Magnolia flower. The leaves are a punch, but its a friends & I borrowed it to pinch a few whilst we were all away in Lincolnshire last November.
Its my first day back from Cyprus, so will look for challenges as soon as I can.

Tilda with Little Pocket at Stamp and Create with Magnolia

Stamp & Create with Magnolia have another challenge today & the theme is Spring with Ribbons. I chose Tilda with Little Pocket.  She is coloured with Prismas & the papers are My Minds Eye On the Sunny Side & Echo Park A Boys Life. The little flower stamp is from a QVC kit also.  I have edged the top paper with both Magnolia Swedish Lace die & Bakers Twine. The butterflies are a MS punch, onto which I have stuck mini jewels. The ribbon is ancient, I think it came in an Anna Griffin QVC kit from years ago, but I thought it went well with the papers. Most of the flowers are from stash, apart from the large orange one, which is Prima Trellis Rose & can be bought here
I am almost at the end of my holiday, see you back in UK soon.

I have used papers from My Minds Eye Lost & Found Ruby & Lucky in Love & mounted the image onto a Nestie. The image is one of the Pin Up digital stamp set available here I have stamped this with a little stamp I got free from a card making magazine years ago saying ''For You''
I made the sentiments up on the computer & kept it very simple as its another male card. Added a few dew drops & Kaisercraft Black pearls.
Should be sunning myself in Cyprus still, so will look for challenges when I can

Blanche

Stamp and Create have a monthly challenge starting today & the theme is to use at least 1 die cut on your card. I chose Blanche from Saturated Canary to work with & coloured her with Prismas. I have used Christmas Lace Magnolia die cut down the side, mounted the image onto a Nellie Snellen Multi frame die & also a Cheery Lyn flourish die. The papers are Bo Bunny Barefoot & Bliss. The flowers are from my stash, apart from the yellow rose which is a Kaisercraft Buttercream rose.Added some pearls to match & a bow, together with some gauze underneath the image.
I am away on holiday, so hopefully will look for some challenges to enter.
