Whimsy Stamps Flower Girl

Oops I am late with this card, woudn't mind,But I had made it & just plain forgot to write up a post!
Divas By Design have a new challenge today & its sponsored by Crafty Devils
The theme is Happy Birthday, so a nice easy one.
My image I have coloured with Promarkers & was the image used by Alyce over at Kit and Clowder for her live colouring tutorial & is from Whimsy Stamps & is called Flower Girl.
I have no idea where the paper came from, I really must make a note of these things when I make the card!!
The spiral edges are a Spellbinders Shapeabilities Office Supplies. The flourish is Cherry Lynn Fanciful Flourish, flowers & ribbon from stash & the film strip was from Donna over at Bearly Mine, who gave it to us on the DT. Butterfly is from Cyprus, coloured to match. The pull out on the top is Magnolia Vol 1 die set.

Bank Holiday Sale

Donna over at Bearly Mine Designs has a Bank Holiday sale  starting tomorrow & will run until Tuesday at midnight. It also includes her new papers Halloween Fantasy which are launched tomorrow too.
Go take a look as she really does have superb digi papers & of course we all love a bargain too.
Have a great Bank Holiday those of us in the UK, I am off camping for the weekend, with an airshow to go to on Sunday.

Spritz!

Its my turn for an inspirational post over at Bearly Mine Challenges & I have chosen to start on my Christmas cards, I currently have 5 made, so this is now my 6th & I am trying to make most of them fit into an envelope rather than a box, as it took me as long last year to make the boxes as it did the blooming cards!!
I have coloured the Spritz image from Saturated Canary with Distress Inks, following on from my recent class over at Kit and Clowder. I just love using this medium & cant wait for there to be a pencil class, as I will be signing up for that as well. I also want to use my Promarkers more & have bought a class from Donna Marie Jerrett specifically for Promarkers, which is packed full of information & tutorials, so I going to be busy practicing my colouring me thinks.
The papers are Bearly Mine Christmas Sparkle & I have altered the green one from a blue tone to green, which is the beauty of digital papers.
The edging on the green paper is a Martha Stewart punch & all edges have been Glamour Dusted. The banner flags are from the recent Magnolia DooHickey Volume 1 die set. A few flat backed pearls complete the picture & they were purchased in Thailand.

Colouring Skills

I am desperately trying to improve on my colouring skills in all my chosen mediums & I have concentrating on my Promarkers, of which I have a complete set. I bought Donna Jerrett (Promarker EBook) which is like a bible for Promarkers. It tells you what combinations work best together, as well as tutorials too. It is 174 pages long & packed full of information. If you want to purchase this book, all proceeds of £12.00 go to charity & can be bought here  Here is a card on which I have practiced my colouring. The image is one I got whist being on OSAAT DT, I do not know which artist drew it, sorry to say.
I have used Pine, Forest Green & Bright Green for the leaves. & Plum, Mulberry & Fuchsia Pink for the flower.
The papers are Papermania Rose Garden & First edition Bird Song. The lace came from Cyprus & the pearls from Thailand.
Overall I am pleased with the colouring, I know I have a long way to go yet, but I feel its better than what I would have produced several months ago. The card itself, I have left quite simple as I wanted to show the colouring.

Puppy Love by Saturated Canary

Divas By Design has a new challenge starting today & its sponsored by Live & love Crafts & the theme is ''So Charming''. So lets leave it up to you to interpret whats charming & I cant wait to see your creations.
I have recently been working on a Distress Ink class over at Kit and Clowder and this is the second image I have coloured with the expertise of Tracy Payne (crafteeze blog). Well the girl is, the boy came as part of the image & I decided to leave him there to practice. Not happy with his hair, but otherwise I have learnt so much & would recommend the classes to anyone.
The papers I have used are a mixture of First Edition Bird Song. (background) Bo Bunny Prairie Chic (blue) & Bo Bunny Smoothable (pink). I have edged them with a little acrylic paint & layered them up. A little seam binding from Wild Orchid Crafts & a sentiment from either Dovecraft or Papermania. A few jewels complete the picture. I didnt want to put too much on here as I love the picture so much & its for hubby, so cant go too girly.

Tilda on the Roof

Continuing on with my Christmas cards, here is Tilda on the Roof & Snowy Roof combined to make this little scene. I haven't masked the two images but sat Tilda on top as I like the definition it gives, it makes her look dimensional. This is coloured with Distress Inks, as I am still practicing following the recent class over at Kit and Clowder.
I have mounted it onto a Nestie. The papers are Craft Creations (bottom) & the top one is an off cut from a  class at Sir Stamp A lot, so no idea lol.
The sentiment is a Magnolia stamp Santa is Coming to Town. The stars are covered in Glamour Dust & are from the recent Vol 1 Magnolia Die Club set. The trees are a Marianne die. Thses have also been coloured with DI & a tiny amount of Aleene's Glitter Snow added. The ribbon & snowflake came from a local garden centre a year ago.

Marci from La La Land

I recently signed up for the Distress Ink class over at Kit and Clowder as when I recently went to Sir Stamp A lot for a Distress Ink class, I loved it & wanted to learn more. Well these classes are something else, there is hours of video to watch & a booklet to print off for reference & no time limit to the classes.
This is Marci from La La Land which you get as part of the class & is coloured with Distress Inks. I am so pleased with this colouring & have had such praise from Tracy (crafteeze blog) whose videos you watch & whom co wrote the class.
The papers are a mixture of Papermania or Dovecraft & HOTP Blue Dimensions. The lace I purchased in Cyprus. I have added  Shabby White Frantage to the papers, as well as a few flat backed pearls, purchased in Thailand. The edging on the image is Magnolia Old Swedish Lace. The flowers were also bought in Thailand, but the spirals are a Memory Box die Pinwheel Posie. The doily came from a local Chinese food supplier (yes really).

Rick Dennis at Bearly Mine

Bearly Mine have a new monthly challenge starting today & its an easy theme of Anything Goes. I chose to use a Rick Dennis image that I won in a challenge some time ago called Morning Goddess & coloured her with a combination of Promarkers & Prismas. She is mounted onto a Lasercut from Hobbycutz, which has been coloured with Salty Ocean DI. The heart die is Magnolia DooHickey So Wrapped Lovely & the flowers are from stash. Vintage seam binding added & a few dew drops & sentiment from an old QVC kit. The paper is of course Bearly Mine from the new set A Load of Ole Bricks
