Ppinky Doll Alyce Love

Been practicing my colouring again & this time with Prisma pencils & no blending solution! I love my pencils & always have done, probably more than all my marker pens, but now I know I can get even better results than before, I have fallen in love with them again lol. In fact, I have a set of Polychromos coming my way soon for an early birthday present. Thanks Alyce, over at Kit&Clowder for the lessons.
The image is PpinkyDoll & can be bought here
The papers I have used are Michelle R Designs Whimsy Romance, which can be found here.
The lace & flowers are all from my stash, which means bought in Thailand. My friend has a son living & working there, so when she goes over to visit him, she shops in the markets & brings back heaps for us.
Lace I bought in Turkey.
The sentiment is a Paula Pascal sentiment set of clear stamps.

Exciting News & Polkadoodle Challenge

My exciting news is that I have selected onto Polkadoodles Design Team & here is my first card made for the new challenge starting today, which can be found here. The winner will get a £10 voucher to spend in the digi store. How good is that?
The theme is All Things Kraft & I chose to work with the Work & Play 9 Love & Kisses CD which can be found here
I used one of the templates & made a stepper card & covered it with papers from the CD. The scrabble letters are also printed out from the CD onto Kraft card.
The image is once again from the CD & coloured onto Kraft card with Prisma pencils
I added a Magnolia flourish die from Vol 3 die club set & a Christmas Lace die from Couture Creations, as well as flowers, ribbon & dew drops from stash.
So there is my first card for  Polkadoodles & I look forward to working with a great bunch of ladies & of course the famous Nikky Hall!

Aurora Wings Orchid Corner

Hubby is at the Spurs match, so I have all day to myself & I have managed to make 2 cards so far. This one & a male card, I'll show another day.
This is by Aurora Wings Orchid Corner & I have coloured it with Flexmarkers. Mounted it onto card coloured with the same Flexmarker as the darkest colour & added a sentiment from a Paula Pascal set. Thats it, a CAS card, which I very rarely do lol.

Aurora Wings Fuschia Sprite

I got my pencils out today & coloured up this little beauty by Aurora Wings & she is Fuschia Sprite. The paper is Bearly Mine & part of the Floral Surprise collection. (Sadly this shop has closed down due to the EU regulations regarding digital products). I edged the paper with a Promarker. The doily die in the top right is Magnolia Vol 3 die club set & once again coloured with Promarkers. The banner is La La Land die & the friend sentiment is from a Paula Pascal stamp set. The tag in the bottom right Is also Magnolia Vol 3 die set. Flowers came from stash,  so that means Thailand.

Gardenia by Aurora Wings

I have been practicing my colouring again & chose Gardenia by Aurora Wings. Coloured with Flexmarkers. The paper is from Trimcraft Pursuit of Happiness paper pad & the flowers are my stash, which mean they came from Thailand. I have enough flowers to last a lifetime I think lol. The pin is from an ebay purchase years ago & the leaf punch is Martha Stewart. Not much to say, oh the corners are also a Martha Stewart punch & the ribbon is silk & came from a DT package I was on a while ago.

Graphic 45 calendar

I have been busy lately, albeit not on my blog. I have made several mixed media items, which I have really enjoyed & will show you soon.
The first one was inspired by Graphic 45 blog. There was a perpetual calendar made from Graphic 45 items, I challenged myself to make something similar with stash I already had, as it was expensive to purchase all the bits needed from Graphic 45. I did however have the Time to Flourish 8x8 paper pad.
I started out making a 19.5 cm box using my Envelope Punch Board & cutting the top off of it.
I then lined it with paper from stash, after reinforcing the sides & bottom with an additional layer of card.
I then made another box very slightly smaller than the outer box & cut one side of, to make a drawer, once again reinforcing the sides & bottom.
All of it is lined with various papers I had in my stash. I made the plastic slot containing the calendar months, by cutting up a plastic wallet, sticking flat backed pearls onto the edges & lining with pretty paper, then sticking to both the front of the calendar & inside the drawer to store the unused months.
I then made 2 little boxes & used a circle punch to make the slot at the front, where all the numbers are stored. I cut out some of the stamps in the cut apart section of the Time to Flourish paper pad & stuck them to the boxes.
I then made the months, by cutting out each month from the paper pad & taking several elements from each month to stick to an extension to the original month like this.
Each finished month looks like this
I did have to buy a handle from B & Q which cost me £3.49 & screwed that into the card & also glued into place.
The numbers are made using old tags I had, covering them in paper from my stash & putting peel offs on them, which I had covered in Gliding Wax.
The front has the same plastic slot as the inside drawer & I had some bull dog clips, which I covered in Shabby White Frantage & put a couple of brads on the front to hold the bulldog clips in place & to enable you to change the day easily.
Oh yes & added a couple of corner from Creative Expressions. I added buttons onto the bottom of the box to give it feet.
There it is, my perpetual calendar inspired by Graphic 45 here
I don't profess to say its better, its just cheaper lol

Ching-Chou Kuik Goth Moth

Over at Kit and Clowder Facebook page, there is a colour pallette challenge using this stamp, which is Gothic Moth by Ching-Chou Kuik and as I trying to improve my colouring skills, by taking some of the classes, I thought Id have a go. I have kept the card quite simple because of the image & the colouring I wanted to show off lol.
The paper is Bo Bunny Prairie Chic. The little tag is a Magnolia die from the Vol 3 collection. The sentiment stamp is Paula Pascal & the flowers, ribbon & rik rak are all from my stash.
I added a few liquid pearls to the moths.
