Yellow Bee

This afternoon I was stuck in as we had snow, so was playing around & got out my Cuttlebug folders. I started with the flowers & swirls folder & ran a black ink pad over the embossing to distress it, then glittered some the flowers to give accent.
Used a second Cuttlebug folder in black & glittered the petals using Art Glitter "Lemone" & used the same backing paper (from stash) to accent the middle of flower.
Image is coloured again from Prismas & Sansador & is available from Digital-Inkco and is by Stitchy Stamps. The yellow band is cut using Martha Stewart Around the Page "Rings"
I have entered this into The Pink Elephant challenge where you must follow the sketch.

Digital-Ink Co Challenge 17 "All about peace"

Can you believe another 2 weeks have passed & here we are with another challenge running from 22nd February to 1stMarch, (yes its weekly from now on). this time all about peace. It could be a play on words or anything that gives you peace for example, so get your thinking caps on & click the link in my side bar & go on over & take part. The prizes are well worth winning as you can see.
For my example, I started out by Googling "peace" quotations & came up with this one from Mother Theresa & thought I could make it fit this stamp by Beary Dust which is available at Digital-Inkco and costs $2.00.
I looked on Greetings Card Factory & found this image of doves which I printed directly onto card & decoupaged the ribbon & also glittered in appropiate places. I then cut out a square from the front of the card & glittered around the edge to make a frame & stuck acetate into the opening.
Image coloured with Prismas & Sansador & placed as if she is leaning out of the window. She has a smile a bit like the Mona Lisa, hardly there at all, but just enough to make the point.
Now do you want to see more of these stamps? Then subscribe to the Digital-Ink weekly newsletter, where you will get to see new releases, get a free stamp each week & get to hear of the sales & offers in the store.
Lastly please become a follower of my blog, it would make my day & also don't forget to follow Digital-Ink challenge blog as well. Good luck & I look forward to seeing your entries.

Sewing Machine

I bought this image from Digital Ink Co as I used to have a sewing machine just like this one & thought it would make a good mothers day image. Mothers Day in the UK is 14th March, so not long now.
Anyway I cut up Dovecrafts Funky Vintage papers & stuck them onto beige card to look like patchwork and also added faux stitching to look even more authentic.
Image coloured with Prismas & Sansador
I used a template from UK Scrappers that I had saved onto my computer for the Nesties scalloped toppers, & then added acrylic copper paint around the edge of the top topper & also around the edge of the image to make it look like it was older. Not sure if I have achieved this but it has grown on me & I now quite like it.
Added letters cut from a Cuttlebug alphabet.
I have entered this into One Stitch At A Time as the challenge is to use stitching.

Purple Mothers Day

Another Mothers Day card. Decoupaged the pansies, mounted then onto some printed Vellum which my friend Jak designed and produced on a CD which I purchased several years ago.I secured it with purple brads frpm QVC. I then welded the word mum together on my Craft Robo & cut out on silver card. All mounted onto a gorgeous lilac shimmery card.

Yellow Mothers Day

Last Sunday a group of crafting friends got together at Nikkis house & crafted all day amongst the laughs, lunch & copious cups of tea.
This is one of the projects I made. I cant tell you much about the card as all the materials were supplied apart from the Prima flowers & the ribbon & label (Cuttlebug)which I added at home.
As Mothers Day in the Uk is 14th March, I thought it would make a good card for then.

Gardening

I was asked to make a card with a gardening theme for a wedding anniversary. I printed off a backing paper with an apron & tools from a CD I have had for years from Kraft Cardz, called "In A Mans World". I then browsed through my Craft Robo templates which I have obtained from the very clever people at UK Scrappers & found this pocket card & cut it out using dark green card. I used other templates for the wellies, tools & watering can, all of which I stuck to the card. Added some Prima flowers. I also used my Robo to cut out the words using Forte as the font. The tag was another template originally from UK Scrappers as well and I used a bright green card for this as a contrast. Its different to what I would normally make but hopefully they will like it.
